Religion. The World’s Ice Cream Truck
Christianity is ranked the largest religion in the world today. According to the Pew Forum on Religion and Public Life, in 2010 there were 2.18 billion Christians around the world, nearly a third of the global population.
According to the Center for the Study of Global Christianity (CSGC) at Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary, there are approximately 41,000 Christian denominations and organizations in the world. This statistic takes into consideration cultural distinctions of denominations in different countries, so there is overlapping of many denominations. Source
This is just Christianity, folks. So many times I’ve heard it been said, “I didn’t like my last church, so I found one that I was more confortable with”.
My brothers & sisters, the Word of YHVH is an offense to the flesh! His Word is made for good teaching and instructions. Sure, in some respects we can feel good about what is being conveyed, but what the Torah does is show us our sin.
“Come out of her my people”, religion is like an ice cream truck. You have your variety of flavors, you can add sprinkles, and it’s relatively cheap. But, if you mix it up too much, you’ll end up with some painful results. Understanding and following Torah (YHVH’s instructions for us), on the surface, may seem difficult, but the yoke is light, he tells us so! Remember, Y’shua didn’t come preaching about who’s denomination was better, he fully preached the Torah!
“For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears” 2 Timothy 4:3
