Breaking God’s Heart
As we all walk in the freedom that Yeshua/Jesus has blessed us with, many times we find that we tend to slip away from the promised blessings of the Holy Scriptures. Many Christians go to church every Sunday and Wednesday, are very active in their participation, and generally try to live their lives in a manner that is pleasing to YHVH. What I hear quite often though from these devoted followers of Yeshua/Jesus, is that even though they believe, and even though they love YHVH, and even though they do all the things that they are taught by the Pastors and Sunday School teachers, they still somehow feel a million miles apart from the relationship and intimacy that the Holy Scriptures promise for them that “believe”. I hear the same sermons over and over on the radio and from the pulpits, covering the same topic as we are here. The Pastors and Apologists are always seeming to have sermons on being patient, and telling believers to be faithful, even if they feel their prayers are not being answered, even if they are experiencing tribulations, even though they may feel as if God had forgotten them. When I hear these things it saddens me, because there truly is an easy fix to all these problems. If a believer is not experiencing the promised blessings we get in the scriptures, there is a reason, and it is NEVER that YHVH has forgotten about them. We have an issue here. Believers are truly trying to gain that intimate relationship, but the churches all seem as if they are shallow graves, a lot of praise and worship, but really and truthfully, they bring no real change in people’s lives.
What Would Jesus Do? What Did He Do?
When I was in middle school it was a big fad to go to the store or fashion store and get the “What would Jesus Do” (WWJD) bracelets. Everyone had them! It was just the thing to have around your wrist. Yet when you look around today, we don’t see those anymore.
How Scripture Defines YHVH’s Law
Man certainly has put their own interpretations on the Word of YHVH. Lets take a look at how scripture defines His Torah (instructions/Law).
1. The Law blesses (obey) and curses (disobey)
D’varim (Deuteronomy 11:26-27) ~ See, I am setting before you today a blessing and a curse — 27 the blessing, if you listen to the mitzvot of YHVH your Elohim that I am giving you today;
Psalm 112:1 ~ How happy is anyone who fears YHVH, who greatly delights in his mitzvot.
Psalm 119:1-2 ~ How happy are those whose way of life is blameless, who live by the Torah of YHVH! How happy are those who observe his instruction, who seek him wholeheartedly!
Psalm 128:1 ~ How happy is everyone who fears YHVH, who lives by his ways.
This Is A Hard Word
Yohanan (John) 6 we read about the crowds that gathered to hear Y’shua’s words. The Judeans in the mix grumbled against Y’shua who proclaimed, “I am the bread which has come down from heaven”. (6:41)
Y’shua goes on to say, “Stop grumbling to each other! 44 No one can come to me unless the Father — the One who sent me — draws him. And I will raise him up on the Last Day. 45 It is written in the Prophets, ‘They will all be taught by YHVH.’ Everyone who listens to the Father and learns from him comes to me. 46 Not that anyone has seen the Father except the one who is from God — he has seen the Father. 47 Yes, indeed! I tell you, whoever trusts has eternal life: 48 I am the bread which is life. 49 Your fathers ate the man in the desert; they died. 50 But the bread that comes down from heaven is such that a person may eat it and not die. 51 I am the living bread that has come down from heaven; if anyone eats this bread, he will live forever. Furthermore, the bread that I will give is my own flesh; and I will give it for the life of the world”.
What Is Salvation?
Moshe (Moses) said to the people, “Don’t be afraid. Stand still, and see the SALVATION(H3444) of YHWH, which he will work for you today: for the Mitzrim (Egyptians) whom you have seen today, you shall never see them again.
Exodus 14:13
I saw this Scripture in a different light then I had before. I started looking at other references to the word Salvation (as the word H3444) in the Tanakh (OT). Here are some of those:
Scriptures: “Keep MY Commandments”
This post will simply use scriptures and scripture only to show how many times YHVH tells us to keep His commandments. Please note the amount of “New” Covenant scriptures.
Exodus 15:16
And said, If thou wilt diligently hearken to the voice of YHVH thy Elohim, and wilt do that which is right in his sight, and wilt give ear to his commandments, and keep all his statutes, I will put none of these diseases upon thee, which I have brought upon the Egyptians: for I am YHVH that healeth thee.
Does God (YHWH) Ever Change?
“God is not a human who lies or a mortal who changes his mind. When he says something, he will do it; when he makes a promise, he will fulfill it. Numbers 23:19
So if this is true than Yeshua cannot say something different then what it says in Torah because that would be going against YHWH the Father. If Yeshua went against the Torah in any way, He could not be the Saviour.
